there are heaps of ways that you can help the AAPS and their support of stray and abandoned animals. try a few of the options below, or get in touch with the shelter to offer your services!
- get involved with the urban tails fundraising photo shoots
- look at the AAPS website regularly for details of fundraising and help that you can give
- washing blankets or pet dishes at the Shelter
- knitting or making blankets for their animals
- helping regularly in one of their Op Shops
- becoming a regular member of the AAPS
- helping with the maintenance of the shelter
- data entry at the AAPS offices
- donations of old blankets/woolies for animal bedding
- buying fundraising products from the shelter, such as christmas cards
- grooming or bathing dogs or grooming cats
- participating in the AAPS Special Gift Scheme
- donating jam jars to the Moorabbin Op Shop
- nominating the AAPS as your chosen charity at an IGA Supermarket
- submitting articles for the AAPS newsletter
- donating saleable goods for the Op Shops
- sponsoring an animal pen
- helping with gardening or mowing at the Shelter
- cuddling the cats at the Cat Retirement Village
- helping in the office with routine procedures
- providing help on AAPS special days like the Open Day or Fete Days
- join the Fundraising Committee
- telling everyone you know about the great work of the AAPS
- making cakes, jams, etc for the AAPS special Open Days
- making a bequest to the AAPS in your Will
- bring your pets into the AAPS Veterinary Clinic
- buy tickets in the AAPS raffles during the year
