Monday was a lovely day because I had the pleasure of photographing a gorgeous 15 year old girl, Chloe! Chloe has been Steph’s best friend for those 15 years and she’s getting a little old and slowing down but that hasn’t diminished how lovely and funny she is!
We had a great shoot and although it took a long time because the hilarious Chloe’s had to ensure the studio was secure and that there was no possibility of any other dogs hiding in any space – big or small - we got some wonderful pictures of Steph’s darling girl!
Stay tuned for photos!
Hello friends & fellow pet lovers! I wasn’t sure whether or not to ‘blog’ this, but I really think that honesty is the best policy! So… here goes! It was brought to my attention this morning that a photo pack from the AAPS Fundraising shoots, posted out on April 9, wasn’t delivered to the recipient… normally this wouldn’t be a problem as the client would call or email me, I’d provide a reprint, repost the photographs, client would receive them and the problem would be solved to everyone’s satisfaction!
At urban tails pet photography we take pride in the service we provide to each of our clients and always strive to offer great service and provide clients with amazing photography, but unless a problem or issue is brought to our attention, we cannot fix it! Unfortunately, rather than get in touch with me and let me know that their pack wasn’t received, a client waited nearly 2 weeks without notifying me of the problem and then made a complaint to the AAPS about my lack of service!
My sincere apologies go out to the client whose files were affected – the files are currently being reprinted and will be posted tomorrow. I ask if anybody else is in that situation to get in touch with me immediately! I’ve now found 2 separate clients who have had this problem so I fear that there may have been a postal issue (3 weeks ago I received 20 letters, all bundled up, addressed to many different recipients, all dated 4 weeks earlier, in my post office box!!!)
As a small business owner of nearly 5 years, I know that unless I provide great service I won’t continue to stay in business for another 5! And I want to – I love you guys! But it works both ways… I cannot fix a problem unless I know about it!
So, if you have been affected by this, or any other problem, I just ask you to get in touch with me as soon as you can, I’ll fix the problem immediately and everyone will be happy! It just makes sense, unless I know about a problem I cannot fix it!
I hope you have a great week, a safe and happy weekend, and just remember that customer service actually works both ways – unless you bring a problem to the attention of the business owner, you’ll never know just what they can do to solve the problem! And sometimes you’ll even get a bonus for your troubles!
A big apology for our missing AAPS proofs! We’ve been having a very high incidence of lack of functionality of our website (blame me for changing software!) especially when uploading photographs.
The AAPS proofs are uploaded and now located under the Client Proofs tab. Thank you to everyone for their patience and please get in touch to order or if you’d like more information!

We are really very sorry for the inconvenience caused by our online hiatus! We had a HUGE technical malfunction with our website that took way too long to rectify. A very, very big thanks goes to the most wonderful Mr. Jones, whom I will marry this weekend, for his technical prowess, his patience and his long hours in bringing our site back to it’s former glory and saving me the long, long hours that would have been involved in rebuilding this site. Thanks so much, Honey!
And speaking of marriage… I am getting married on Sunday 28th March and, as such, have decided that every girl needs a honeymoon (and a break from work!)! urban tails will be closed from today, Thursday 25th March, and will reopen on Thursday 1st April (no jokes!).
We will, however, be taking calls and bookings as usual during this time – but I have been banned from touching a camera or the computer during this time (we’ll see how I go!). Wish us luck, happiness and good weather! We’re both super-excited and can’t wait for Sunday to arrive…. we’ll also post a few photographs for you too!
What fun it is when computers attack!!
That aside, we have finally got the site back up and running okay! Sorry for the inconvenience.
Hello friends! My partner-in-crime (sister-in-law!) and I have been fostering a little abandoned dog, Ruby Tuesday! A gorgeous lady, Linda from Rescued with Love, has organised rehoming for her through Keysborough Animal Shelter (www.aaps.org.au). We are dropping her to Keysborough today and she’ll be ready for adoption very soon! She is a very sweet, calm and gorgeous little girl who would fit into a family where her main carer is a woman (she seems to just love & identify with women!). She is great with kids & cats, as well as other dogs. The only thing that I think she’ll need training with is walking on leash, where she strains quite a bit (But after a few days of training she’s doing much better!)! She does, however, deal very well with off-leash walking in the park and comes when called. A more truly divine little creature you’ll never meet – so please, if you’re looking for a new member of the family, Ruby Tuesday could be your girl!
Wishing all of our clients, furry and non-furry, a very happy new year! We’re so excited about the arrival of 2010 because we’ve got heaps of new projects on the go, new offers, competitions and fab products to offer you! I will be getting married at the end of March and will post a small photo (or two!) so there will be a small vacation in early April but other than that urban tails exclusive pet photography is ready and raring to go for a fabulous 2010!

Our last client for 2009, Tibor the Magnificent!
Love and hugs,
Rebecca, Adam & Lola xx
